Axe Throwing in Splendora, TX
Looking For Axe Throwing Near Splendora, TX?
Splendora is the kind of place where everybody knows the high school mascot and nobody needs directions to the feed store. What it does not have is a whole lot of places to take a group on a Friday night. That is where a short drive down US 59 comes in handy.
Axe-Mania in Kingwood has nine high-tech projected lanes, digital scoring on every throw and anti-bounce borders around each target, plus a retro arcade, a lounge and beer and wine for the grown-ups. Bring the families, the kids, the friends, the coworkers or the youth group. Everybody 8 and up gets to throw, and it is one of the best indoor activities in this corner of Texas when you want a little adventure without a long drive.
How Long Is The Drive From Splendora?
Easy. Splendora sits right on the US 59 and I-69 corridor, so you just head south past New Caney and Porter, cross into Kingwood and pull off at 23840 HWY 59 N., Kingwood, TX 77339. From most of Splendora that is roughly twenty to twenty-five minutes, a straight shot with no city traffic to fight.
Coming from out along FM 2090 or the east side of town, work your way back to the freeway and point south the same way. It is close enough that a weeknight trip is no big deal, and nobody spends more time in the truck than on the lanes.
What Is It Like To Throw Here?
A whole lot more fun than a hay bale target in the backyard. The wall in each lane is a projected screen that reacts to every throw, tallies the score for you and swaps games in seconds.
Try classic bullseye, survive a Zombie Hunter wave, play Tic-Tac-Toe against your cousin or put your friends’ faces on the target with Axe Photos. There are more than 18 game modes in all, and our coaches walk you through grip, stance, aim and release before the first axe leaves your hand. Safety comes first, technique comes second, and the friendly competition takes care of itself. Some groups turn it into a full tournament, and if the skill bug bites, our Summer Showdown League shows where it can go.
NINE LANES FOR THE WHOLE CREW
With nine lanes running side by side, a big Splendora group throws at the same time instead of waiting around for a turn.
SCORES ON THE BIG SCREEN
Digital scoring keeps track of every point, so the only arguing left is over who buys the next round of snacks.
BUILT FOR FIRST-TIMERS
Anti-bounce borders frame each lane and a coach gets you started, so even the most nervous thrower settles in fast.
ARCADE, LOUNGE AND SNACKS
When your arm needs a rest, the retro arcade and lounge are right there. Snacks and cold drinks for everyone, beer and wine for guests 21 and up.
